Conditions for the performance of the Comedy Magic Act.

The whole audience should be able to see the act. (At some venues this is simply not possible, f.i. when they are L- or U-shaped.)

No large distance between me and my audience, as there are several moments in the act that I am talking with members of the audience. So a large dance floor in front of the stage, where I am working and behind that dance floor, somewhere far away is an audience, is a situation where the act cannot be done. At least not for a large audience. With smaller groups it is no problem to work on the dance floor. With larger groups you can’t work on a dance floor and do need a stage to be seen.

During the act no other activities for the audience.

Of course the lighting should be okay. Not only the lighting at the spot where I am working, but also the lighting, where the audience is situated. With regards to soundequipment I do have a preference for a wireless lapel microphone or a headset.

Summary. With performances for small groups, up to about 70 persons, all the above problems usually do not exist and the act is a success. This success will also be there with larger groups (the largest audience I’ve had up to now were a 1000 persons) if the above conditions are met
